What is Thai massage?

Thai massage works with the meridians and acupressure points of the body, assisting the healthy freeflow of energy (ch'i). Some recipients of Thai massage find that in practice it feels like it incorporates the best of deep tissue massage, reflexology and myofacial therapy. The therapist may use hands, knees, legs and feet to give you a series of yoga-like stretches.

Many people enjoy Thai massage because it is so similar to the feeling one gains from Hatha yoga postures; muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure points are all used during treatment.
